I started the journey with Yellowdog but our “partnership” eventually stalled (see Uhuru: Chapter One). Uhuru was still a work in progress and I wanted to see it through to completion. Enter Elfworks – a creative media company very much like Yellowdog. Nnamdi Nwoha is its founder and epicenter.

After Nnamdi extracted my life’s savings work began in earnest. I really appreciated his promptness and quality of work. That’s why I didn’t gripe too much after all was said and done.

The Windriders started out as adults. However, Mr. Nwoha’s art style made my characters look like pygmies. I was terrified at first but it was this little hiccup that inspired my decision to make the Windriders teenagers. The problem ended up being the solution.
