Well unfortunately you’ll have to wait a while for some of the other titles like Versus, but Taboo should have a few more stories in the works. Please stay tuned in to the site.
If you are implying that Nigeria is a scary place, then I’d have to agree.
BUt I get what you mean. Don’t worry there will be a lot of other stuff with more African themed settings I’m sure. Thing is, often when people here a story was written by an African, they immediately think, dusty old village and poverty. The international community seem to think that’s what Africans should be writing about, but out interests vary just as much as any of theirs, as proved by your Avatar. @Focus Thanks for all the comments guys and don’t forget to check back.
Pacheco…? If it’s you then Wow! Longest time old man. Hope you’ve been good? If you want to help out, then comment on as much as you can. And don’t forget to come back or tell people about the site. Good to hear from you.
umm…i'm new here. but I'd like to ask. are all your comics in black and white? the cover picture for Versus was what attracted me from the Animage page and I also see Uhuru looking equally appealing. but the coloring inside Versus was kinda dissapointing. good art though…
Versus is in black and white, and really for the Naija market b&w isn’t a bad way to go when it comes to cutting down cost and well…It works for Manga’s (Japanese comic books).
However Uhuru is in full color, though I assure you that color or not, it’s the content you’re going to be impressed with. Versus is a 600+ page two part graphic novel btw, so you might understand how the logistics pan out when considering coloring. We’re trying to move forward here, and unfortunately with the way things are and with so many obstacles in this country, we have to take baby steps. Oni press is one of the best independent comic book companies in the U.S, but all their stuff is b&w. Check it out: http://www.onipress.com
Sorry, didn't see this. Well, most of the Fan Comics are black and white. This is mostly becos they were done by people who tried their hand and making comics and then, sorta gave up on them. But rather than letting them just gather dust in some corner of their room, I've wanted to have a place where people could view them for free on here. And Black and White isn't that bad. Esp for Independent comic companies. Many of them display them that way.
